Okay, let s get this out of the way this is a Christian book It is written by a Christian psychiatrist et al who runs a Christian in and out patient program for PPD Meier is described as such here on , but the book itself does NOT advertise this For the most part, the medical information is reasonable, but don t pick this up if you don t like your medicine mixed with religion There are also a few missteps where it seems like the author s religious beliefs get in the way of his giving medical adv [...]

What an incredible resource This book is written to pregnancy soon to be mothers, fathers, other friends and family of pregnant mothers and Coming from so many different angles this is a book that shows that some postpartum depression can be completely normal and it is how you handle it and not ignore it that really matters In my opinion there are some things that I am hesitant to agree with in manners of breast feeding and such, but I can understand where the authors are coming from in making [...]

I find the author and his style of writing obnoxious He seems slightly stuck on himself and his humor is misplaced at times If you can get past that there is some helpful information, and only a few things I m not sure I agree on But I think there are much better books on this topic out there.
